Paltrow & Martin Uncouple and Co-parent

31 Mar Paltrow & Martin Uncouple and Co-parent

With Gweneth Paltrow and Chris Martin announcing that they are separating after 10 years of marriage, they raise the topic of ‘uncoupling’ and ‘co-parenting.’ Paltrow and Martin explain via her Goop website that they “planned to “consciously uncouple” and “co-parent” their children.”

Uncoupling and co-parenting are concepts not reserved for celebrities, but apply to all parents with children who are going through separation and/or divorce. It is vital for the benefit of their children that separating parents learn new skills and techniques required to separate and thereafter parent their children apart. At Mediation & Counselling NI we provide advice to separating couples and offer mediation to help couples uncouple and co-parent.
